Lacombe sits right up Highway 2A from our home base in Red Deer County — close enough that it’s one of our regular stops, not a special trip. Older character homes downtown, newer subdivisions, and acreages just outside town all need the same thing from a concrete pour: proper prep underneath it.

Mature lots downtown. Older Lacombe properties sometimes have established trees close to the pour area — root cutting and protecting the tree both factor into how we form and pour. We look at this on the site visit, not after the truck arrives.
Freeze-thaw is the real enemy. We use 32 MPa mix for exterior work in Alberta, slope every pour 1/4" per foot minimum for drainage, and place saw-cut control joints so cracking happens where we want it, not where it wants to.
Acreage access. For properties just outside town, we confirm the ready-mix truck can get in — and where it can’t, we arrange a pumper truck. That’s a site-visit question, not a phone-quote guess.
